Experience serene Shirakawa-go, a historic village in the well-known Hida Region. Tucked into the Japanese Alps, Shirakawa-go becomes a picturesque snowy village, but is wonderful to visit in any season!
Shirakawa-go can be reached by bus from Toyama, Kanazawa or Takaoka – These three cities can be reached directly from Tokyo by Hokuriku Shinkansen. It will take about five hours of travel time to reach Shirakwa-go from Tokyo.
