坂東市将門まつり2024

2024年11月10日（日）平将門公ゆかりの地茨城県坂東市で開催された「坂東市将門まつり」に行ってきました。
平安時代の武将らしく甲冑装備での地元の中高生の弓術の披露が圧巻な将門まつり
また今年の将門まつりで平小次郎将門公を演じたのは堺正章さん。その娘滝夜叉姫を演じたのは地元出身のボクサーセレス小林の娘ゆうかさんでした
また相馬の野馬追の騎馬隊も武者行列に参加しました
帰りのバスの関係で武者行列パレードは見ることができませんでした。

小山芳姫の下野小山家のご先祖はその平将門公の乱を鎮圧した田原藤太藤原秀郷にございます
あの三上山を七巻半の大ムカデの「七巻半」もまさに関八州制覇目前の平将門を現しているようです。まさに明日にでも瀬田の唐橋を越えて将門が京に攻め上ってくると都人は慌てふためくばかり・・・

【 Bando City Masakado Festival 2024】
On Sunday 10 November 2024, I visited the Bando City Masakado Festival in Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture, a city associated with Taira no Masakado.
The Masakado Festival was a spectacular demonstration of archery by local junior and senior high school students in armour equipment, as if they were warlords of the Heian period.
Masaaki Sakai played the role of Prince Taira Kojiro Masakado at this year’s Shogun Festival. His daughter Princess Takiyasha was played by Yuka, daughter of local boxer Ceres Kobayashi.
The cavalry from Soma’s Nomaoi also took part in the procession.
Due to the bus on the way back, we were not able to see the warrior parade.

The ancestor of Princess Yoshihime Oyama’s Shimotuke Oyama family is Tahara Toda Fujiwara Hidesato, who suppressed the rebellion of Prince Taira no Masakado.
The ‘seven and a half scrolls’ of the great centipede on Mount Mikami also seem to represent Taira no Masakado, who was on the verge of conquering the eight provinces of the Sekihachi-shu region. The people of the capital were in a panic when Shogun crossed the Karabashi Bridge at Seta and attacked Kyoto tomorrow…
