Sushi Kappo restaurant in Miyazu, Kyoto
There is a unique Sushi restaurant in Miyazu, near Amano-Hashidate sand spit – about 2 hour drive from City of Kyoto. The location is facing the Sea of Japan, known for excellent seafood. The restaurant is operated by a young couple – Ricardo (Portugueses) and his wife Miho (Japanese). It used to be a storehouse of an old residence in town. There are only 7 seats in the restaurant – very cozy and atmospheric.

If you go there, you may want to stay overnight at Fairfield Inn (Marriott) which is a beautiful brand new hotel in the area. Only about 5 min. walk to the restaurant.
