Hiroshima (広島), located in the southwestern part of Honshu, Japan, is a city rich in history and culture. Known worldwide for the tragic atomic bombing in 1945, Hiroshima has since become a symbol of peace. Today, the city showcases its modern, reconstructed urban landscape while embracing a tranquil atmosphere that draws visitors from all around the globe.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park (平和記念公園) is a key landmark commemorating the victims of the atomic bombing. Within the park, significant monuments such as the Peace Memorial Cenotaph (慰霊碑), the Atomic Bomb Dome (原爆ドーム), and the Peace Bell (平和の鐘) provide a solemn and reflective experience. Through these memorials, visitors can reflect on the horrors of war and witness the deep desire of Hiroshima’s people for peace.

Miyajima (宮島) is another renowned attraction in Hiroshima, famous for the Itsukushima Shrine (厳島神社). The shrine’s “Floating Torii Gate” (海上鳥居) is considered one of the Three Views of Japan (日本三景). When the tide is low, visitors can walk up to the gate, while at high tide, the torii appears to float majestically on the water. Miyajima also offers abundant natural beauty and traditional architecture, making it an excellent place to experience Hiroshima’s cultural heritage.

    In the time of 2nd world war the city damaged totally with its more than 40k innocent people. While dropped the atomic bomb the whitish pinkish light and heat killed it's people with in a moment as well as the houses and it's infrastructures. Japanese people forgetting that incident made the place livable with new structures gardens monuments etc.

    It's funny. How much japanese is fake to make city for peace. We gotta learn any country shouldn't to destroy other country for greed to conquer. Even their king knew it America will put the bomb there but the person didnt even let hiroshima people. If I was hiroshima citizen, I would hate own country and him. Anyway I've been there, and I was sure america was right, and suprised how much japanese still acted like they are victim. Even japanese goverment lie to children, doesnt even teach the real history, whole world know it and remeber and study history well they are war criminal and america saved people and world from W.A.R. C.R.I.M.I.N.A.L. J.A.P.A.N.😊
