An 80 year old abandoned Japanese House with attached Storage Building that has been locked up for 40 years is gonna be opened for the first time in this video. This former owner is from this Noto Ishikawa area and is Japanese Millionaire who’s ancestors built their fortune as shipowners of the Kitamae-Bune merchant vessels, which was known to operate from the mid-Edo period to the late Meiji period, navigating the Sea of Japan to trade goods from Edo, Osaka and Hokkaido. The house has a attached to it a traditional style storage building, known in Japanese as Kura. After the last heir of the family business passed away prematurely about 40 years ago, the entire property was left untouched and the storage building has been locked up until today. We’ll see if we find any hidden valuables or treasures in this Japanese style storage unit.

I liked this, I hope you make more videos like this
these things make me very sad, valuable objects? what is meant by value? what kind of value does an object have? in a world where money no longer exists, what value would an object have? even a common, banal object, over time could acquire value for someone, even emotional, I see a person's life there.
You’d have thought they ran a restaurant with all that dinnerware
It seems that demand is low because depopulation increases the supply of old stuff as it decreases the number of potential buyers. Japanese tend to be discriminating in choosing what to incorporate into their limited space living quarters.
I liked it
What will they do with the rest of the items? Trash?
I would want to buy those kitchenware …. Any possibility of shipping it to Cali?
Yes, please do more treasure hunting! Your video was fun to watch and discover things, although they weren't worth what you had anticipated.
I’m more interested in your air cooled jacket. Did it work well near keep you cool? You looked more comfortable than the other guys. What brand is it?
Just sharing some information about the cool second hand nature of goods is enlightening and entertaining. Definitely not a bad topic of choice
This kind of content is interesting but more so for the historical background and context than for the potential loot.
I have some treasures from a friend, and they are around 40yrs old from Japan. Mostly travel keepsakes like an old tie-dyed cloth bag with an anime like Samurai character from Kyoto, a bottle of strange red sand and a pencil tin. Also have some funny trading cards of kittens dressed up like a motorcycle gang smoking cigarettes. Old phone cards with interesting photos. I know, just a bunch of junk, but I guess memories of a friend.
boring
Please, let m know the chemical engineerjob prospects for foreigners coming to japan?
I like your videos sooo much
This was so cool. As someone in America makes a living reselling old and vintage items online I really love videos like this. I hope you do more videos like this.
this was fun
I liked this. Bet some of those sold abroad would earn more money even the clothing.
Storage wars: Japanese Paolo edition!
These traditional houses seem like they came out of a horror movie. Like, during the day, everything appears normal. Then at night, something is hiding in the dark corners of the building.
amazing video wonderful Treasure Hunt cool .
Love the walk through.Hope to see more videos.
Fun video!
This was a really fun change of pace for the channel. More exploring abandoned Japan please!
love this type of content 🙂 thanks to you and the appraiser also the new owner 🙂
Having been a used & rare bookseller, and having worked with any number of estates… Yeah, you found about what I expected.
Looks like the house from Juon.
I would like more I enjoyed it
Dang u needed the Fukushima Masanori Samurai Tachi sword and youre all set.
So interesting! It's sad to think of the person who used to live there and use all these items though, I wonder what happened to them
it was actually pretty interesting. With all the abandoned homes across Japan, someone could probably do a whole series on something like this, teach a little bit of history as well!
It's nice to watch content like this! 😄 I would love to see more of treasure hunting in old abandoned japanese houses – maybe one house from each decade (like the 90s) or garages – but I don't know if storages like in the USA are common in Japan.
There was a time when I would have loved this stuff, but now everything is clutter to me as I seek to redefine myself for my older years.
Yes please – more of this!
