I’m Japanese and I tried Baristart Coffee, which is probably the most popular cafe in Singapore. Most reviews are positive and I always heard about it and finally tried it out. It’s popular among locals but what’s my thoughts as a Japanese?

there used to have authentic Japanese restaurants at the old liang court there , real authentic Japanese chief, waitress , ingredients. Japanese ambassador like to eat there as well.
Honestly…. I can't afford to eat there. Prices way too high for me.

The reason you kept salivating might've been due to the amount of MSG used in the dishes, which I'm going to assume is used more liberally in that establishment, compared to the others you've grown accustomed to in Singapore. The food does look great, would like to try em out myself.

Good intro to this Baristart cafe. I think the price is reasonable considering the rental they pay and the high quality of ingredients. The deco of the Wisma Atria outlet looks nice.

Absolutely overrated. McCafé does better coffee too. Maybe just the desserts will do.

Ghib is a real authentic foodie and all the food he recommends are really top notch! I am salivating with the meals he recommended.. I am hungry in the morning!
