Banshu Kiyomizu-dera is located in Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture, right in the center of Hyogo, on top of a mountain.

Banshu Kiyomizu-dera is situated within the Tojoko Prefectural Natural Park in Hyogo Prefecture. It was founded by the ascetic monk Hodo Sennin and is the 25th temple on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage route. Located at an elevation of 500 meters, it offers a panoramic view of the Rokko Mountain range, the Seto Inland Sea, Awaji Island, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Ieshima Islands, and even Shikoku. Throughout the year, it is a popular spot for visitors who enjoy seasonal recreational activities such as exploring Tojoko Lake, Tachikusa-yaki pottery, and the Sasayama area. The scenery changes with each season, providing diverse enjoyment. In spring, visitors can admire cherry blossoms, magnolias, azaleas, rhododendrons, and primroses; in summer, hydrangeas and the chorus of cicadas; in autumn, the vibrant colors of the changing leaves; and in winter, a sea of clouds. It is also the 25th temple on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage and the 78th temple on the Shingon Buddhist Pilgrimage (13th in Hyogo).

播州 清水寺は兵庫県の東条湖県立自然公園内に位置し、法道仙人の開基、西国二十五番札所海抜500mの山上にあり、六甲の山並み、瀬戸内海、淡路島、明石海峡大橋、家島、四国等を見渡すことが出来ます。また四季を通じて、東条湖、立枕焼、篠山散策等を回遊して訪れる人が多い場所です。四季折々に風景が変わり多様に楽しむ事ができます。春は桜、こぶし、つつじ、しゃくなげ、クリンソウ、夏はあじさい、せみしぐれ、秋は紅葉、冬は雲海です。
西国第25番札所 神仏霊塲78番札所　（兵庫13番）となっております。
