【一人旅山口編】国宝の五重塔 ぶらり旅 第468回「山口県:瑠璃光寺」-アクセス,駐車場,香山公園,史跡,令和の大改修-Rurikoji Temple,Yamaguchi
ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年9月に山口県山口市にある「瑠璃光寺」に行きました。

瑠璃光寺
日本三名塔のひとつに数えられる国宝 瑠璃光寺五重塔。
室町時代、長門・周防国（現在の山口県）の守護であった24代大内弘世が、京の都を模した街づくりを進めた山口の地で花開いた大内文化の最高傑作と
いわれいています。
1時間半ほどで散策できる公園は桜や梅の名所としても知られ、さまざまな史跡が点在し、長州藩13代藩主・毛利敬親が山口に居城を移して以降の、毛利家墓所も残っています。
また、幕末、薩長の藩士らが密談を重ねた「枕流亭」や美しい茶室「露山堂」など、維新ゆかりの地でもあります。

入館料大人200円 中・高生100円

I went to Rurikoji Temple in Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture in September 2022.

Rurikoji Temple
The five-story pagoda of Rurikoji Temple, a national treasure that is counted among the three most famous pagodas in Japan.
It is said to be the masterpiece of Ouchi culture that flourished in Yamaguchi, where the 24th Ouchi Hiroyo, who was the guardian of Nagato and Suo Provinces (present-day Yamaguchi Prefecture) during the Muromachi period, promoted urban development modeled on the capital of Kyoto.
The park, which can be strolled in about an hour and a half, is also known as a famous spot for cherry blossoms and plum blossoms, and is dotted with various historical sites, including the grave of the Mori family, which remains after the 13th lord of the Choshu clan, Mori Yoshichika, moved his castle to Yamaguchi.
It is also a place associated with the Meiji Restoration, with sites such as the “Pillow Teahouse,” where samurai from the Satsuma and Choshu clans held secret meetings at the end of the Edo period, and the beautiful teahouse “Rozan-do.”
