【4K】Chinese traditional village: 280-year-old ancient village, Wuya Stone Village
Wuya Stone Village, which was built in the eighth year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty, is located in Neixiang County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is a famous historical and cultural village in Henan Province. Every household in the village built houses with stones, and the stone houses have been preserved to this day. In the past two years, Wuya Stone Village has taken advantage of its unique landscape advantages to create a cluster of all-electric boutique homestay projects, giving this ancient village with a history of nearly 300 years a new lease of life.
Walking into Wuya Stone Village, stone houses built with bluestones are built in accordance with the situation and are staggered. From the foundation to the roof, you can’t find a brick or a piece of soil. In the quaint bluestone buildings, being in it, it feels like traveling through time.
There is a “tombstone of the ancestor Wu Gong Diyuan” in Wuya Stone Village. This monument was erected in the second year of Emperor Xianfeng. The inscription records that the ancestors of the Wu family moved here to live in the eighth year of Emperor Qianlong (1743 AD). The ancient building area of Wuya Stone Village is 5,620 square meters. There are 93 relatively intact stone building complexes, more than 200 existing houses, and more than 80% of the traditional buildings are well preserved.
