This is an invaluable service you have provided. I have been to Florence twice and have seen some of the places included in your tour, but your added information made it so interesting. It's also nice to not have to endure the crowds and heat that you did. Thank you so very much!
There is a very small shop near the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio (side street) owned and run by an older man who sells mortar and pestles, wine, and miscellany. The front of his shop is kind of a jumbled mess. His shop was there in 2014 and 2016 for sure and had been there for many years before that. He offers small glasses of wine when you come in, and there's really only room for 1-2 customers at a time. I'm curious if he and his shop made it through the pandemic?? (I hope. I've worried about him.)
