[4k]Osaka Walking – Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Arcade, the longest shopping arcade in Japan

Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Arcade is a lively shopping street located in Kita-ku, Osaka. It stretches from Tenjinbashi 1-chome to 6-chome. With a rich history dating back to the Edo period, it first gained popularity as a marketplace for fresh produce and gradually evolved into the longest shopping street in Japan. The total length spans approximately 2.6 kilometers, equivalent to two train station distances, and boasts over 600 shops lining its bustling streets.

In this video, we took a walk from one end to the other of Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. Along the way, we made a stop at Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, where a Tanabata festival event was taking place.
