I’m glad they’re doing well. Usually airlines from that region flops due to over ambition and with the economic situation of the country it’s nice to know they’re lean and can make it work. Don’t go big buying a bunch of aircraft’s, traveling to less profitable long haul routes and be saddled with debt. They have a niche and it’s seem to be working.

The Aegean lounge in ATH is really quite good too (for non-Schengen short haul anyways)

Aegean is pretty decent, especially for short flights. And you are right: the crew is usually outstanding.
Great video again Kevin. The non Shengen area lounge is nice and the food is good. Athens airport has a manageable size and connections are easy. But the problem is that if you miss a connection, there are not that many alternatives for outwards international connections. Agreed that is a very good mid size regional airlines. They are starting to fly to Dubai now which must be their longest flight.

Like it Kevin and when it comes to A3 their FFQ program it's very useful for someone going to Greece and then using it for domestic United Airlines because once you are Star Alliance gold on A3 UA lounges are open to you. Just like an SQ Krisflyer PPS member or Royal Orchid Plus gold granting you access to domestic UA Clubs international UA Polaris lounge like Terminal C EWR. A3 & OU are the Star Alliance regional carriers for Europe picking up where Adria Airways used to have. In other Airline alliances you have RO for Skyteam feeding AF/KL/UX/AZ future SK. Oneworld Alliance this used to be AB for Western Europe while the former Soviet Union this was S7. What A3 could have done was take Olympic airlines widebody fleet and then use them to fly to UA🇺🇲/AC🇨🇦 hubs across the Atlantic on the other side of the Eurasian continent to TG🇹🇭 BR🇹🇼 OZ🇰🇷 NH🇯🇵 SQ ZH/CA🇨🇳
I find this review a bit too enthusiastic say the least. Watching the video I see nothing differentiating them from lets say klm or lufthansa. No ife, old seats, basic food… you mention the flight attendants were good which is probably different than lufthansa 😊 but still I struggle to see what makes them a dark horse.

Like if you visit a hotel and film it, how many months later does it go live on YT?
Flying LHR-ATH this Monday with Aegean. BA used to very be good on the ATH route as they treated it as a longer 'short' haul with good food and wide bodies. Now they downscaled the service (even Amman is classified as short haul Europe) I choose Aegean. BA needs to create a medium haul concept for routes like ATH, IST, CAI, LCA and AMM; they are not the same as a flight to Amsterdam or Paris
Finally an airline that throws those annoying bin-clogging wheelies in the hold! It’s about time the others stepped up and followed suit!
I flew with Aegean 2 weeks ago, and your review is spot on, they ground crew too checked all carry on suitcases, the food was incredible and the flight crew were incredible, also they added the wifi option, which when connected gives you a full entertainment system, I was very surprised for all that despite the flight was 1h 40m. You probably the best flight reviewer, I immediately subscribed
