A lot has happened in the past two years, so I thought I’d revisit one of my very first reviews and remake it with everything I’ve learned making flight reviews since. SAS claims that nothing is Scandinavian…so why should one fly them to begin with? Let’s find out!
I paid 70,000 United miles for this flight in 2018 (prices are now dynamic and I’m sure higher)

So I know I'm not merely kicking the hornets nest here but actively stomping on it. For the record, one of the reasons I love to travel so much is to experience the differences in our cultures. These can be celebrated, while our shared humanity brings us together. Denying your own culture as a marketing ploy….simply makes no sense to me. But overall I like SAS and thought this review deserved a second look. What are your thoughts on SAS and the whole "what is Scandinavian debacle?" let me know down below!
First
It would be, the seats have very IKEA styling
I flew SAS Business Class for the first time from Copenhagen to Hong Kong earlier this February, and I have to say, I was very pleased with everything. The crew was great, the food and cocktails onboard were very nice, and the seat did the trick, in my opinion. Sadly SAS shut down the route shortly afterwards, since they apparently didn't make enough money on it. I live in Norway, so only having to transit through Denmark (I really like Kastrup, a very easy airport to navigate) before arriving at the final destination helped save a lot of time.
I appreciate the SASs here!
“Nothing” 🤣
Oh fuck that ad. Thanks for reminding me of that stupid as heck horrifying ad! I thought I had seen the best of it, but like… it even got referrenced during the Danish melody grandprix (Our Eurovision qualification tournament) this year by the host and just… urgh! But damn it's interesting to see how much your channel has grown since that original review I saw so long ago!

You are NOT a comedian!
To hell with that pissing ad.
Other than that, this is a terrific review! I love your cosy humour. In fact, it's very Scandinavian (which, of course, is a tad ironic).
Turkish business is so bad though why do you rate them highly. I flew from LA to Istanbul last summer and the 777 was falling apart, horrible service and bad food. Super crowded and not a good crowd.
I was on the 787 on the way back. Same consistent poor service and the seat is awkward with the footwell but better.
Turkish is incomparable to Lufthansa in every area especially service. I've flown both Austrian and Swiss and the food on Austrian is great but both have small seats and service below Lufthansa. I haven't flown SAS but hope to someday soon! Maybe to Tromso or Narvik!!
