We chose both a Western and Japanese breakfast, and they were served in our “Oyama Renge” (大山蓮華) room at Sakurayu Sanshuyu (櫻湯 山茱萸), a boutique luxury ryokan in Akayu, Nanyo, Yamagata (山形県南陽市赤湯) in the Tohoku region of Japan. If you’re going to stay here, do yourself a big favor – go with the Japanese selection.
