稚内の宗谷岬近くにある白い道を散策しました。
北海道稚内市の宗谷丘陵に、紺碧の海に向かってまっすぐに伸びる白い一本の道、その美しいコントラストが話題となり人気が出た「白い道」があります。
稚内市職員のアイデアで、宗谷丘陵のオフロード約3kmの散策路に稚内の名産であるホタテの貝殻を砕いて敷き詰めました。
天気の良い日には、利尻山や遠くにサハリンの島影など壮大な景色を望むことができ、宗谷丘陵のなだらかな斜面には57基もの白い大風車群が建てられ、白い道と大風車が織りなす風景は写真映えもばっちりです。
I strolled around White Road near Cape Soya in Wakkanai.
In the Soya Hills of Wakkanai City, Hokkaido, a single white road stretches straight out toward the azure sea. The “white road” has become popular because of its beautiful contrast.
At the idea of Wakkanai City Employees, crushed scallop shells, Wakkanai’s specialty, were laid on a 3-km off-road walking path in the Soya Hills.
On a fine day, visitors can enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Rishiri and the distant shadow of Sakhalin Island. 57 large white windmills have been built on the gentle slopes of the Soya Hills, and the scenery of white roads and large windmills makes for a great photo opportunity.
