By removing the hair completely, it creates space for new coat to grow. If you don&#8217;t remove dead hair from your top coat (wire hair), the hair follicle openings become smaller and problems begin to arise. It does not produce sebum, becomes inflamed, and negatively affects the overall appearance of the coat. Some may not like the feeling of plucking, but it doesn&#8217;t hurt. Don\u00b4t worry about that.  <\/p>\n<p>When Westie&#8217;s puppies are 12 to 14 weeks old, they can begin their first hand stripping.
