The Scottish Terrier, also known as the Scottie, is a small, muscular breed of dog that was originally developed in Scotland for use as a hunter and vermin controller. They are known for their distinctive appearance, with a sturdy, elongated body, short legs, and a shaggy, black coat. Scottish Terriers are intelligent and independent dogs that can be stubborn at times, but they are also affectionate and loyal to their owners.

  2. Scotties are without a doubt, full of personality and loyal to a fault. Had 2 but don't expect a lapdog.

  3. I ended up getting two scotties from my aunts litter and I am in love. The difference between the male and female are hilarious. They are super smart, ans the girl is the best behaved, smartest, and dominant. The male was the runt and inherited the independent nature and likes to talk and push your limits so being firm and following through with what you say is a must but dont push them too hard in training and always give high energy positive praise when due. Love this breed got lucky. Had a jack russel growing up and this breed is very similar in personality
