  1. I grew up with Cocker Spaniels and found this video to be accurate and balanced. I've had them throughout my adult life and currently share my home with one. Most of the Cockers that I've had over the years are rescues, though you are never sure what issues they've been exposed to, if you are willing to take the time and put in the effort to give one of these dogs a second chance the rewards will outweigh the demands at least twentyfold.
I'm fairly certain that my current companion was chased with a broom given his reaction to them. While I don't think that he will ever be comfortable around brooms, he isn't terrified of them any longer either.
Cockers are smart and easily trained for the most part, I've taught Sammy with both voice and hand commands.
As the video pointed out, they can be a handful, but then, anything worth having is worth the effort. Good luck to you and your new companion.

  2. They're lovely, bad for their something smell bad really 🤣😍😍😍🤣

  3. I have a cocker spaniel and he's so cute I love him, but I have one question can he be a service dog?

  4. my Cocker does not like balls she will not play with one or no toys and she has a lot too and my cat is a Siamese going on 7 years old like her the dog got them both at the same time he the cat was 8 weeks and she the dog was 10 weeks they play with each other all the time so must be each other toy to play with the cat gets the best of her all the time on top of her all the time and she don't care

  5. We said goodbye to our Spaniel Charlie this past weekend. It has been difficult for the family. Now I'm here watching videos of Cocker Spaniels…

  6. We lost our old cocker named Cheyenne. We called her “Mooch” because she was always wanting our food. She was 16 and most likely had cancer. We had her put down on Jan. 14 2021. Since then we got 2 cockers and both show traits of our old girl.

  7. They are very very serious about playing. If you want an argument with an American Cocker, show him a toy say it is yours and put it in your pocket. They rather die than let you own that toy
