  13. My father in law feed a stray Egyptian Mau and she adopted him. We just found out the cat is pregnant so we're naming them after Pharaoh's and God's.

  14. I love my Egyptian mau but they don't sleep a lot like other breeds. Keeping up with them will keep you young. But she's always playing and happy and purring and cuddles with me at night ❤️. Sometimes all the noise she makes drives me crazy but I love conversations with her because she has a response for everything you say 😂

  15. I have two brother maus that just turned 7. I've spent so much time talking to them & training them, & they are so super intelligent and physically amazing. The smaller one can jump & climb anything, but they are both extremely fast. The slightly bigger one loves playing fetch & will drop a ball on your lap when he's bored. I can't say enough how vocal they are. They meow and chitter whenever I get home & make different sounds for what they want. They also have learned their names and come when called or listen when told to get off of something. I wouldn't trade them for the world. They are my little rat pack & I hope they live for many many many more years. They are such an extremely loyal breed and extremely affectionate, especially if you socialise and handle them well from a young age. I've had cats before and there's always a sense that a cat might snap if you pet them wrong or scare them, but these boys are so loyal I swear even when they don't like something they are so considerate to not hurt me. Anyway, I could write a novel. Beautiful cats. My best friends.

  19. I love coming back to this. Back when I was military I volunteered at a shelter for animals of deployed people. There was a mau there that very quickly took to me. Everytime I went in to clean he'd jump on my shoulder and just sploot until my dailies were done and we could play. While constantly meowing.
