  2. I rescued a tri-colored Sheltie and had her for about 13 years before her passing. Miss her everyday. Therefore, I am partial to tri-coloreds. But all shelties are beautiful.

  3. it's very easy to love a Sheltie.
I had a black and white that was perfect in every way until she passed at age 11 from Bone Cancer.
She is always in my thoughts and heart.
    RIP my sweet Wendy girl.

  4. they are extremely smart and easy to train, I have a small yard, and I was able to train mine to stay in the yard without a fence very early on. she stays behind the house and out of the neighbors yard and I never have to worry about her. my jack Russell terrier who was older than her and is gone now was not the same case at all, until he got much older and couldn't get around very well, I had to watch him like a hawk. once i got the shelty however he did tend to stay with her and it was a little easier to manage him but if I wanted to let him be out for very long I put him on a cable, and I've never had to tether her outside ever.

  5. Wonderful dogs! Can't possibly say enough lovely things about them. 💕

I got my first Shelty in 1964 almost got a GSD but litter came down with distemper so Princess was my matriarch then Duke my speed demon he made it to 17 1/2 then a brother and sister Prince and Blue Girl then a few years without dogs then I brought home the Blue Prince on the last day of M*A*S*H I had him for 15 1/2 years then a rescue PittPei Sheeba and her partner Grape Nehi a Blue Merle they were together 13+ years and lived until they were 15 1/2 I now have Q-tip a double Merle Shelty 80% white some black at the butt and very little sable with BLUE EYES she’s 8 now. I’d like a rescue now Shelty or Pitt maybe Rottweiler. Q-tip has 8 cats/kittens around her now and she’s COVID trained to keep it away. My neighbors have surveillance cameras I have Q-tip and cats

  9. I just had to put my sheltie down today. After 16 years, Butter was the hardest to let go. This one hurts. other than my Wife, he was my best friend. I've worked from home since 2014 and He stuck to me like glue. This is going to take a while to let him go. I miss him already.

  11. I love Shelties and have a girl named Ruby Jewel. She is like my own child and in some ways takes priority over my son. I wouldnt trade her for the world.

  12. I have two, boy and a girl, they bark like crazy and are bothering my neighbors, what can in do? HELP

  13. Do you have any adult you are interested in rehoming? I have had only Collies and Shelties, and want a gently used adult over five for companion purposes only. I have a fenced yard and a doggie door, and lost my beloved Jazzie to cancer in September. I miss her!

  14. I am looking for an adult Sheltie. Where are you located. I have had two rescues that were awesome and died at 12 and 14. I miss them so! I would happily rehome a “used” Sheltie.

  15. I’ve been looking for a sheltie breeder. Can you provide your contact information? Thank you

  16. Hello from Florida. I have 2 Sable Shelties that I got from HiMark Shelties here in Florida. I absolutely love my Shelties and they give me great joy. 🐕😁

  17. It was like you were reading my bio. I grew up watching lassie. In fact I still do. I recorded a bunch of episodes so my one sheltie who also loves Lassie can watch it. She comes running when she here's Timmy in the Intro call…L-A-S-S-I-E. Then she actually sits In front of the TV watching it. I got shelties because they remind me of Lassie but are smaller. I've been to many agility and obedience shows too. Such a wonderful breed.
