Winston and Leroy are Manx breed cats… The Manx cat (/ˈmæŋks/, in earlier times often spelled Manks) is a breed of domestic cat (Felis catus) originating on the Isle of Man, with a naturally occurring mutation that shortens the tail. Many Manx have a small stub of a tail, but Manx cats are best known as being entirely tailless; this is the most distinguishing characteristic of the breed, along with elongated hind legs and a rounded head. Manx cats come in all coat colours and patterns, though all-white specimens are rare, and the coat range of the original stock was more limited. Long-haired variants are sometimes considered a separate breed, the Cymric. Manx are prized as skilled hunters, and thus have often been sought by farmers with rodent problems, and been a preferred ship’s cat breed. They are said to be social, tame and active. An old local term for the cats on their home island is stubbin. Manx have been exhibited in cat shows since the 1800s, with the first known breed standard published in 1903.

Mom: “Its cold! Wind chill is about 10 degrees, lots of ice and a little bit of snow.”
Winston: “Mom, I think it’s time I invest in slippers, my jelly bean paws are freezing.”
Leroy: “Well, my cold sibling, there’s two variations called Cold Snap and the other is referred to as a Cold Wave. A cold snap is a brief period of very cold weather, cold wave is a weather phenomenon that is distinguished by the cooling of the air. I thought everyone knew this.”
Odin: “GET OF MA PROPERTY!! Those pesky gang of cardinals are at it again Mom! Word on the street that somethings going down tonight, the blue jays were spotted in the neighborhood squawking about it. Come to find out Mr. Squirrel is an informant and split town. Don’t worry Mom, Odin is here to protect. I got Midnight to patrol the area and Hannah has both her ears pressed to the ground, we got this.”

Odin like Charlie doesn't mine the cold. Cookie on the other hand hates the 🥶! We had to leave Residence Inn at OKC for the water pipes froze and broke. Water 💧 all over the carpets, soggy and the ceiling caved in. So we had to go. Cookie and Charlie have been good troopers, Not me. Going back to Albuquerque NM. Joan Bates
