Wonderful breed. Must assuradly is very devoted to its family. They have a sweet, goofy nature but can go into full regal mode. The only issue is if you have neighbors, they will hear the "yodeling" that they do to gather the pack. Until you hear it, its hard to describe, but I never minded it, was part of the quirks of having a ig lug of a buddy around.

Short lifespan, vet costs and food bill are the only downsides to loving an Irish wolfhound. Vets are some of the worst humans on earth profiting off people love of animals some border on criminal, charging 700% on lime disease medication, always ask for a prescription never buy your meds from the vet!!!
You’ll never go anywhere alone but you don’t care cause you need to be with them as much as they need to be with you once you have one you will always need to have one or more but they need to live longer stay healthier. Also they are going extinct again and need to be saved their size is fine just have a bigger vehicle with higher headroom and bigger backseats with cushy seats never had a problem with control no matter the age but do recommend puppy school and more training if you wish but definitely puppy school just for basics and never off leash in open areas if you have fenced yard fence needs to be at least 6ft high or a bit more and hope they don’t figure out they can jump over 6ft high then let them run play go go go but make sure you have a cushy sofa when they are done and a bit of cheese
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. 🤍🌈🤍Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 🤍🌈🤍🕊️🎆
God, thank you for loving us through pet loss past, present and future: thank you for healing the wounds underneath us and the wounds around us and every wound. Thank you for binding them up in Jesus mighty name. Amen 🙏 🤍🌈🤍🕊️🔐🇮🇱

The only thing I disagree with is the moderate exercise I have had two and on the weekend we would easily walk five miles in a walk they can cope with moderate but they definitely prefer more
I have owned 2 and the only con is there short lifespan everything else is a pro
please don't own one if you can't afford one. 2 lbs of meat (not fat) per day; think $10,000 to $12,000 pre year. i have a "dog car", the can't fly commercial, so think fly private ~ $7,000.
One looked like it was a short haired
I have owned three Wolfies over a 27 year period. First one died at 7 from cancer. Second one was from a top breeder in Ireland and he lived to be 11 1/2 and died of old age. Our last one died last year from cancer just short of turning 9. It came on so suddenly. He was so healthy and then within a few months he was gone. I spent almost $25,000 trying to save him. It was a long shot but I didn’t think twice about the cost of his care. He was family and I so dearly wanted to try to give him more time.
They are loving majestic creatures. Their size is impressive and everywhere we went people wanted to pet them and take pictures with them. They were always gentle, even with babies. My family loved all of them dearly.
So only real con in owning one is losing them. The cost of care was not important to us. They were such a part of our family. But, losing them just broke our hearts. Our large home was immediately so empty when we lost them until we got another puppy. Sadly, losing the last one was the toughest loss and broke my wife’s heart. She told me that she just couldn’t bear getting a fourth one because she couldn’t deal with the sadness when they were gone.
About eight years ago, my wife got cancer and was sick for a year. That dog never left her side. She is cancer free now and healthy but losing him was just too much to bear. We were blessed to have had three Wolfies in our lives. We have offered our children, who now are raising young families, a wolfhound when they have homes that can accommodate one. We will gladly take them when they need to travel. I don’t know if that will ever happen but I hope that it will. Bless these gentle giants. They have so enriched our lives.
Such wonderful fur balls💕💖
ALL PRO! 🐺
What BARK?! 😂
With our IWs it was the short life and cost as cons. But, totally worth it they are the best breed, like living with a giant teddybear.
Loyalty!!!! Best way to describe her is the obsessed girlfriend. She doesn’t want to be with me, she wants to be inside me… she’s a good girl
They are being bred too be too bulky. They should be lean.
So worth every con!
Anyone that has a skeleton key! ❤ i want a dog that attacks ❤
