I had a doggie that looked so much like this Bruno. Ours was named Cassius. And when my son was born, and I'd visit my parents place, Cassius LOVED my boy. I didn't allow Cassius to lick my son – he was too tiny for doggie germs, but Cassius would sneak in those drive by licks whenever he could. ๐
Boxers are some of the most pure-natured, gentle doofuses in the entire dog roster. Easily some of the best dogs to have with kids, because they are tough enough to protect them, gentle enough to not hurt them, goofy enough to make them laugh all the time, & energetic enough to keep up with em. Such friendly, forgiving, loving souls.
There were 5 kids next door when I was growing up. The middle one lost half her face to a sweet lovely boxer. She was the friendliest dog. Jethro ( dadโs nickname) was a fighter pilot. He put that dog down before he left for the hospital. My friends pit turned in the kids. He had that dog for years. The wifeโs arms had thousands of stitches. I have dogs I love dogs but they are animals. My children did not get a dog till they were older. Ya roll the dice. If you think you donโt, well Iโm a critical care worker of children and I hope I donโt meet you.

They say dogs are manโs best friend for a reason. Dog love is so pure and beautiful. We do not deserve dogs but I am so thankful for them.
