We have a cross rottweiler cum tibetan mastiff – big and very hairy and loves the cold here in Canada – loves the a.c. In the summer – absolutely sweetest temperament – a total sweetheart ❤

Impressive and beautiful breed! But stop showing and celebrating these chinese oversized dogs. These especially breeded bloodlines of the Do-Khyi only meet commercial requirements. This is not more the strong and healthy guardian of the Himalaya but only a toy and/or an investment for rich people.😡
This confirms what I have researched about Alabai. I suppose if I just had to have a Tibetan Mastiff, I would have to cross it with a Newfie. I need some more obedience. I just couldn't completely trust a dog to make good decision that might get him euthanized. Or I could cross breed of Rottie and a Newfie and it would look like one. Easily trainable. Sociable enough. Guardians both. Loving. Loyal. Dedicated. And it most definitely slips in under the radar of the Bad Dog Bans.
