  1. Scotties are the best. I raises 5 scotties from puppies I loved each one best. For 42 years I was a scottie mom. If I were younger I would still have a scottie. Ivy, Holly, Meghan, Miste and Piper were my sweet girls my scotties. My heart will always belong to the scottie. ❤❤❤❤

  2. They can get along with cats, but the cat has to be older and has to be the first pet. She pawed him once or twice in the face and that was it, no more problem whatsoever.

  3. Awesome video! I had my beloved white Westie Highland terrier for nearly 13 years. His name was Montgomery Scott. I called him Scottie after Scootie in Star Trek. He was an incredible, loyal companion, and I miss him dearly!😢 Scotties are awesome, loyal companions😊

  4. Had a Scottie that backed down two off leash Pitbulls. He just postured himself, and they ran away. It was amazing. RIP Duncan. Miss you little homie.

  5. I had four in my lifetime. Blackie, when I was a child. Angus, Duncan, and William after getting marriage. I miss their swagger and loyalty the most! ❤️❤️❤️

  6. I have watched many video's of Scottie traits. Consistently, all say as you do that they are not good around small animals such ad hamsters and Guinee pics, etc. I totally disagree. i have had six Scottois and trained them shortly to accept these tiny creatures.

  7. My Scottie lives happily with 5 cats. One in particular loves to sleep with him. He goes ferociously after small mammals outside but doesn't kill anything.

  8. I'm part of the 1%. Only 1% of what you shared I didn't know (book series lol). My first friend, raised from a puppy, lived 14.5 years, given to me single digit age and MacTavish lived with me to adulthood. He and my other Scottie friend never had any of the medical problems. I look forward to getting my life in order and adopting from a shelter , helping a dog that needs help and love.

  9. Scottie’s are my favorite dog breed of all. I used have a black dog. Matilda was her name. She was funny get into everything, hide stuff, and even killed a bunny 🐰 😂 outside. But she made a mess in the house tearing up things.

  10. Nearly all my Scotties were bigger that 22lbsAverage seems to be more around 25lbs in my experience. The closer in linage to the European lines you also see larger Scotties more akin to the original Aberdeen Terrier. Those blood likes can bring about closer to 35lbs. I’m also on Scottie #11 so I’m well versed at this point.
