So what’s it like living with a Whippet?

I’ve owned Freddie for 4 years now and I’d never look back.

If you are considering a Whippet. I couldn’t recommend them as a breed any more!

I hope you enjoyed this little video of our favourite boy ❤️

  1. To najpiękniejsze i najmądrzejsze psy.
Od 35 lat w naszym domu mieszkają psie dziewczynki tej rasy.
    Obecnie Lola.
    Niestety, najsmutniejsze są pożegnania 😢

  2. I had a pure black whippet a few years ago called ebony and without a doubt one of the best dogs ever she was purely ball mad and one of the fastest dogs I’ve seen but on rainy days I could grab a blanket and she’d lie on the sofa and not move she was a blessing like no itger

  3. I've lived with whippet for the last 30 years they are wonderful . Everything this man says is true. Gentle dogs who thrive on company. They are just fantastic

  4. Freddie was one of the inspirational YouTube Whippets who convinced me are the breed for me. I brought home my crazy little 8 week old Juno 2 weeks ago and she's the light of our lives. Good boy, Freddie!
And thx to his human! 🙏

  5. I've never been a dog person at all but a few years ago one of my housemates got a whippet puppy, I was actually pretty irritated at first because I didn't want to live with a dog, but she has absolutely melted my heart. And my other housemate got another one a year ago, he's just so awesome and fun. Both have their own unique personalities with none of the annoying traits I can't stand with other dogs like loud barking and hyperactivity among many other things. Probably the only thing stopping me getting my own whippet right now is that I'm already fulfilled living with those two. I'm close to buying my own house and I think it would feel like something is missing if I don't move in there with one or maybe even two whippets.

  6. He is beautiful 😍 hive him sn extrs bjf hug for me 🥹 I lost my baby boy shadow 14 years ago tomorrow 🙁

  7. There are so many grey hounds dogs in need of adoption because they have been used in races and many of them are baddly treated. We really need to adopt instead of buying. Is lmportant to offer them water and not only food sometimes water is more i portant than food

  8. I had a whippet for 13 brilliant years, she was called susie she always went on holidays with us, My parents have a acre of land and she loved to run around In It, she only barked once when someone In London was asking for directions she went mad thinking he was going to harm us, When we once was on holiday the chalet next door was on fire Susie woke us all she must have sensed something was wrong such a fiercely loyal girl ,we sadly lost her back In 1993 but I always think about her as she was my best friend, susie was the best dog anyone could have, loving caring and gorgeous.

  9. 5 am in the morning and Heidi my whippet has just been out for a pee. There is a chill in the air so when I got back into bed she jumped on the bed and snook under the covers. As I write this she is wrapped around my feet and now fast asleep. My feet are now lovely and warm !
Willow, my whippet cross has decided to join my wife and I and is now nuzzled between us on top of the duvet. My wife half asleep is complaining she is getting pushed out of bed. This domestic scene is very common most mornings, the girls getting cozy with their pet parents.

  10. Be careful with feeding raw chicken (especially chicken necks) to dogs.
Raw chicken can cause a fatal type of dog paralysis.
    Please look it up.

  11. My sister owns a whippet. His name is Archie (we calls him Arch) ; he's 4 years old (5 in December) and he is the most awesome bundle of joy ever. So much fun, energy and enjoyment in one amazing doggy package.

  12. We have a 2 year old boy. And he is brilliant. Not much different from yours to be honest. But he never demands his food, and he is getting more than enough exercise. They are just the best all round four legged friend.

  13. My whippet was very hard to leave the house for work because of separation anxiety, but after covid and working from home she is the best dog in the world!

  14. He is a beautiful dog. Our boy is 2 and a half now. But he isn't food obsessed. Which i think is very strange for a dog. Yes he eats his food, but definitely not in any rush.

  15. 16. My family has never had a Whippet but we did have a Whippet mix named Dory! She was mostly black and had some grey/silver fur around her muzzle. She was a rescue dog who my parents had before I was born, we sadly put her down. She was suffering from liver failure, she had no chance of making and and my parents decided not to prolong her suffering, she was around eighteen years old and one of the sweetest dogs I’ve met <3

  17. I miss my Whippet whom I had named Daisy and I had her for 14 of her 15 years of life until she crossed over the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge.
