#A4170582 Meet Zander, a 15-year-old Lhasa Apso and the scruffiest little lovebug your heart’s been waiting for. 🖤🐾 With his perfectly fluffy bangs and sweet little face, he’ll melt your heart in an instant – peeking out with all the charm of a well-loved teddy bear. Zander has been through the shelter before and, heartbreakingly, finds himself back as a senior. Though he’s blind and has a few age-related health issues, nothing stops him from being the ultimate cuddle companion – he’s calm, gentle, and happiest curled up on your lap or snuggled beside you. All this sweet boy needs is a soft and cozy bed and someone to give him the love and comfort he so deserves in his golden years. Let’s make sure Zander’s final chapter is his happiest one yet! 💛
– 15 year old brown and black Lhasa Apso
– 20 pound neutered male
– up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Zander has a few common age related health issues, so will need to be adopted on a health waiver – adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment
– came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/2/25 as an owner surrender – but we have no notes and no idea why, as Zander is a perfect little old gentleman!
– perfectly scruffy little munchkin that peeks out at you from behind his adorably fluffy bangs
– has an old number in the shelter system, so had been here before a while ago and is now sadly back as a senior
– is blind and has some typical senior health issues, but these in no way get in the way of him providing lots of love and companionship – still a laid back, super cuddly love bug that would be perfectly content curling up in your lap or next to you on the couch or in bed
– just needs a soft and cozy bed and someone to love and cherish him for his golden years!

Our Mission:
United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
