  1. Great video help a lot you’ll get a like and a sub! I like the Australian blue heller more

  2. I think video was very helpful….I have a Cattle Dog Blue Heeler…..He is 9 months old I absolutely love him my daughter just bought a Aussie she loves her both fantastic dogs …..

  3. I have two rescue dogs They are both mixed breeds with more Australian Cattle dog than anything else. One has Australian Shepherd as the second component. The other has Aus Shepherd as the third component (American pit bull terrier is number 2). Verified with Embark. They are great dogs.

  4. I live out in the country on open range. So I fence the cows out. I did have horses and goats, but my horse died at age 33, and the goats were sold due to cancer. So I've rabbits and chickens. Most important I've a Papillon indoor dog. So I need a "farm dog," that will keep cattle out of my yard and barn, chase coyotes away, (we shot at a coyote in front of the house last evening), keep deer out of the yard. Since it's been several years since my bird-dog died, the deer have become comfortable eating my orchard, coming into the yard even eating my rabbit food if I leave it on the porch. So I want a dog that will chase livestock and wildlife out of my yard. Protect my yard and little dog from coyotes. Not run off, but chase the deer out of the yard and turn around, not keep chasing them for miles. Gets a long with a toy size dog, my Papillon. Won't chase chickens and eat them. My rabbits are penned up. I may get another horse someday and goats. I'm trying to decide between a Red Heeler or an Australian Shepherd.

  5. We split the difference and got a Texas Heeler. 1/2 Aussie (Red Merle mom), 1/2 ACD (Blue Heeler dad). Great pup.

  6. I had the pleasure of having both as my friends and I still have a Australian shepherd now! I love my Aussies ❤❤❤

  7. The ironic thing is that the Australian shepherd is actually American.

  8. Perfect characterization of the cattle dog. I've had mine for ten years. No children allowed to approach or pet on walks. Very intelligent and stubborn. Treats only go so far. Train no more than 15 mins. at a time. Needs to know who is Alpha. You must be consistent and committed or they will take advantage of you. I never see or read anything about them barking (yelping), but mine is very noisy. Probably something I didn't address earlier but should have. Usually, family and friends gather in the kitchen. He hates the tile floor so will stand on the carpet and yelp constantly. Then I'm forced to take lock him into a room. That is the stubborn part. Also, if a guest brings a dog into the house he will herd that dog away from you and it's owner, forcing it off the tile. Fights between the dogs have started over this. The "tile thing" is a quirck. And I'm told many cattle dogs have certain things that they are weird about. Mine is the tile.

  9. living in Australia I have a genuine Australian Cattle dog. The best and smartest dog I have ever had. Get one.
