lakeland terriers,scottish style are a much better,entertainin dog than the yank fox terrier,more tough and nuts to bargain,the yanks dont like red or liver wots that all about. good lakey will drag a fox out a hole by the face and pound for pound is a better terrier than a jack russell,believe me,i have one of each.scottish lakeys rule.up ye

Hi there,i have a Fox Terrier Dog his name Browny and as all of you said they are very cute, smart and funny but the problem his 4 years old and every time i take him for a walk i dont dare to release him cause he attack other pets and sometimes people, is there any solution to avoid his i mean am i still able to train him… thanks

We had a female Smooth that at 1st did not understand rodent control, but after live trapping a couple rats & letting her see them scamper around the pen, nature took over. By the time she was 2, she dug out several nest full of the pest, even on neighbor's property. I put her in a locked kennel when I went to work, when I can home I went to let her out & noticed the lock cut & no dog, I asked neighbors, they said a person in a truck stopped by & then left after knocking on door. So be alert!
@eighteenpars my smooth fox terrier is 16 also and I count everyday as a bonus that we still have with her. She is still up for a walk although at a slower pace now. She is totally deaf but otherwise is good health. These little guys have so much energy and they entertain us non stop. I know you will have many happy memories of your wonderful dog. I wouldn't have any other breed.

I got two Fox terriers Janny & oscar, fox terriers are the most smartest/playful, full of energy, intelligent dogs..the older one janny is very fond of her rubber balls, we brought so many rubber balls for her, & she kept them in different places, and than search them whenever she wants to play…whenever we have a guests at home, janny got her ball and forced them to play with her ,she barks continuously and thow ball in the air,to make them play with her..!!

As a kid my family had a FT cross Chihuahua. He was a great little dog but very independent. If he got loose you either had to chase him around the neighbourhood until you cornered him or just wait for him to come back on his own which sometimes took hours. The best time of his life was probably when we went on holiday to a shack on the beach in the middle of nowhere. He spent most of the day hunting mice in the shack and exploring the area around the shack, disappearing for hours at a time. He lived a long time and got very frail toward the end, near blind and deaf but probably worst of all he went senile. He even ran away to die. He'd stopped running away in his old age then for some reason he escaped and we never found him. Good old Rex. I miss you mate.

I had a Smooth Fox Terrier when I was a kid and they are very good dogs.
My foxy means everything to me, my faithful little guy his the best ever lives like a king got the best of everything aahh so love him his 5 years old now.

I’m getting a smooth fox terrier puppy later this year super excited especially after my last dog a greyhound named Bella unfortunately passed away recently I didn’t know how much I loved having my dog until she was gone on the bright side now I am getting a new puppy after doing a lot of research I have no doubt that the smooth fox terrier is the perfect dog for me Wednesday this week I’m going to a breeder to meet some of the dogs there to get to know them better can’t wait! 🙂
