If you’re looking to buy a Doberman puppy, you might be wondering what the difference is between a cheap Doberman and an expensive Doberman puppy. Well, in this video I share my experiences owning Dobermans on both sides of the price spectrum. Was my $3000 Doberman really much different from my $600 Doberman? Here are the many similarities and important differences between these two dogs. One from what many consider a backyard breeder and one from a reputable “well-known” Doberman breeder.

You overpaid for one?
Sounds like you got ripped off $3600
But if it’s a genetic disease, how can it be helped?
So douche
I picked Pav up for a bargain $1700 AUD. The breeder started getting emails from more up market breeders a week later saying he was majorly under cutting them and to bump up his prices. Still think we got the better dog.
When you were going over the list of 600$ and 3000$ dog I was definitely leaning towards Cooper more imo. Calm and relaxed and already good off the leash.
TLDR: it had almost no difference
The 600 dollar doberman's owner is 2400 dollars richer and literally only 0.001% of the population can tell the difference.
Why clip both their ears and tails man… fr
Age cooper is much more older than Arlo
Two dogs isn't much of a data set to get any type of scientific conclusions…Some of it is chance.
2:22 be sorry for yourself/ and oe should not be expert to know that good doberman is NOT dog for home' family etc.
Great job man I really enjoy your videos
High coi don’t alway mean they gonna live shorter lives stop spreading false Information.
Best dog I’ve ever had was a rott I found while fishing give us his all till he got hip problems
Sounds like most of the differences were in personality, dogs do vary even (especially?) in the same litter. I'm not hearing much that says 3k is the 'better' amount to pay for a pup. RIP Cooper.
I had one given to me. He had mental issues.
Listening you describe the dogs I’d take the 600$ dollar dog over the high dollar high strung one . Mine was hyper as well as mental
Why buy a $3k dog and then neuter him?
This vid makes the exact case to not buy into this pedigree nonsense. Pay premium for inbreed.
You know something? The dogs don't give a damn, just happy to live a decent life.
Genuine question: Why don't people just rescue dogs? You can get a cool pup for like $100
Don’t listen to this guy plenty, professional dog breeders, have huge bad litters really differences as you’re trying to find the physical attributes no diseases that’s the only advantage temperament. Sometimes you get a good sometimes you get in bed doesn’t matter where
Crazy how people still cut the dog ears for just aesthetic purposes.
Do not support these scumbag breeders, adopt, don't shop. They rationalize their breeding by saying "oh we're responsible breeders." When you shop, you neglect those in shelters who need you. Breeders are scum.
I know someone in Long Beach selling Doberman puppies right now for $700
I'm going to comment via German Shepherds. Czarina was a product of a local backyard breeder, via local puppy store (not a chain). I paid $800 for her. Olympia, my other GSD, came from a nationally recogized breeder, West German pedigree, $3200. What were the differences? Conformation. Ears, muzzle, headpiece, coloring, coat. You could tell the "farm girl" Czarina, vs. the pureblood, Olympia. Temperament? Czarina was a chewer, and an occasional poo in house. Olympia was well-mannered, never soiled in house, never chewed. There are differences; it is what your budget will allow you to spend and what you'll settle for.
You paid 3000. To raise the risk of your dogs getting cancer smh
Why does everybody cut their ears and tails off? I never understood that. Dobbies are beautiful as they are.
I have a $200 bucks bitch that is way more funny than my first $250.000 bitch.
I've owned dobbermans my entire life my dad had them and I followed suit . Price doesn't matter as much as gender or blood line . There are differences between male and female and European and American. The differences really are more physical than anything else. Despite overall health . Euros are healthier bigger and stronger . Americans are the same bond .. which is what I think is the most important factor in buying a doberman . I spent most of my life owning large 100÷ lbs doberman that were American bread. The love attitude and intelligence are equal . Beteww3n the blood lines. Look I've held the most beautiful doberman you have ever seen aginst my chest while he died of wobbles. Today I have the companionship of Justice a fawn eruo with no issues other than thin hair as all fawns have
Mentally euros and Americans are the same dog… you have to look at health
I’d rather spend the 3k. It makes me love the dog more.
Female doberman are generally in my experience anxious. They need a huge territory where th3 can own their realm. Not apartm3nt living. Females need large areas of security
If it is possible to be more protective than a male doberman a female is . But female dobermans sre for people with real REAL EXPERIENCE! This is a dog who needs to be built up and controlled. Your too hard and ya have a dog that will not trust anyone. To soft and will.own your house . Female dobermans are for the elite people who have time and knowledge.
Money always spoils the intrinsic worth of anything
Some dogs have better parents than others, Its that simple. Price doesn't matter
thx
I'm sorry about Cooper.
