I have a 6 month old Rottweiler and just got a puppy Doberman tan and man when he yawns his mouth already wide to get my whole face can’t imagine a full grown one 😮
The doberman is not fearless. There was a study decades ago where they were exploring switching police dogs from German Shepherds to Dobermans. The Dobermans beat German Shepherds in every trial expect when a man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the dog. The German Shepherd charged forward on command, the Doberman sat down. Because it was intelligent enough to understand what a gun was, and was not fearless/suicidal.
Pls tell my D pincher he is not a doberman he dont believe me
If You try to outrun them, They sure enough are going to catch your ass.
So… much… misinformation… nnnghhh …
No relevance to this video… I just want to say.. Huskies are better.. Thankyou.
I had a dobie as a farm dog 2000 – 2009. He was a great dog. He loved the horses and would take naps in the field with them. He was boss of the cattle and absolute demon to people who tried poaching my mango trees in summer. A good foot warmer on a cold night too. Sadly he died from the bite of an Eastern Brown snake. I was just too far from a vet to save him.
Both my parents and I have been proud parents of Dobermans. And I am certain that my next forever friend will be a Doberman. As I not only will need a Service Animal.
I noticed you didnt mention the great dane when talking about fast dogs. I myself was absolutely shocked when i found out my dane could run 40mph until i owned one i had no idea buy they are built similar to doberman just larger but yeah both breeds are like horses and nothin but muscle
My German shepherd can nap better than your Doberman
Satans dog
these dogs are strong and powerful
Luv Dobermans. Can't afford luv.
My Anatolian LGD is more of a nightmare for intruders. 😉 She can't be called off. Can't be bribed. Can't be reasoned with.
Wait are Dobermans and Doberman pinchers not the same thing??
A bullet out of a gun travels faster.
We had a Doberman when I was a child, he literally followed me everywhere growing up protecting me from my stupidity. He on occasion grabbed me and dragged me back from running across the road, wouldn’t let anyone near me if he didn’t know them. They are incredibly clever dogs that care little for anyone outside their pack, they will never seek a fuss from anyone outside their circle and care even less if outsiders try to fuss them. They are incredibly pack loyal and make fantastic nanny’s for your kids to grow up with.
It would still get its ass kicked by a pitbull.
The DPCA, Doberman Pinscher Club of America, had on their website the one word to best describe the breed. Most know about the loyalty being off the charts. Their word was “discerning”. The well bred ones (I’ve had 4) know the difference in a threat and a weird person who bears watching, but requires no intervention. They do NOT go off half-cocked. My best dog ever, a red male, had different barks for “look what I found,” “someone just drove up,” “you can walk down the road all you want, but just letting you know I’m here in case you decided to try to enter my property,” “calling to the rest of the pack,” and “REAL potential threat observed. Come out here, Daddy, and tell me what you think. Otherwise, I may need to intervene.”
I have had two Dobermans over different periods and this is my favorite breed by far (specially for their intelligence and looks). However, my Dobs were not protective at all but extremely friendly and playful with everyone. It was frustrating, but we loved them so much that the protection part took a long second place.
I realized all these traits the first month owning my first Dobi. I absolutely loved her. I lost a lot of friends because of her. Straight up scared them away.
True story…in the early 1970 I had a uncle that was a big time diamond courier in Miami Florida who had a extensive, let's say, compound with lots of security including Dobermans on routine patrols. Long story short I was twelve at the time and went outside to ride a bike when I wasn't supposed to because the Dobermans were doing there thing. I was immediately surrounded by 4 Dobermans who sized me up in a matter of 3 seconds and determined I was no threat and moved on. They moved with military precision and intelligence. I was terrified at the time and told nobody, it was my fault I shouldn't have been outside at the time. All I can say is that's one impressive dog.
The kangal
Watching this makes me long for another Doberman. What a protector they are. Wonderful breed. I wonder why police departments never use them, or at least the departments in my area. They all use Belgian Malinois here in northeast Tennessee. Before Belgian Malinois, they used German Shepherds.
they are prone to sleepwalking…
I’ve owned two Dobermans. Fast, powerful and highly intelligent animals.
Majestic, intelligent, loyal and not for people who are couch potatoes. While they do enjoy family time and just chilling, they need stimulation and opportunities to run and exercise daily. Miss my Dobes to this day, after 30+years.
I love your videos , my first dobie who was only 65 pounds did run 32 mph , and she would jump over a horse stall ,, she also could climb a rung ladder ! a barn rung ladder ,, she wanted help coming back down but maybe because i was there ,, she lived 14 years and i have had dobergirls ever since.. she also won best in show her first and only show.
I'm scare
The only breed edog specifically designed for personal protection? What about the BM? I thought the Bullmastiff was designed for that purpose also
