\u00a0Six \u201cYamanami Goods\u201d are Newly Recognized!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Located in the central to northwest of Kanagawa Prefecture, Yamanami Five Lakes includes Lake Sagami, Lake Oku-sagami, Lake Tsukui, Lake Tanzawa and Lake Miyagase. These lakes provide vital sources of freshwater to the residents in Kanagawa, and the region is very rich in natural beauty.<\/p>\n

Comprised of the members from Japan\u2019s central government, Kanagawa Prefectural and four local municipal governments\u00a0(1)\u00a0and related organizations, the review committee recognizes the products that utilize local resources and produce as \u201cYamanami goods.\u201d Six such products are newly recognized, including three kinds of resealable canned tea, produced from leaves grown in Kanagawa; sweets containing locally harvested-green papaya; and a board game product utilizing wood byproducts collected during forest maintenance. We recommend that you visit the Yamanami Five-Lake region this spring!\u3000\u00a0<\/p>\n
