On Saturday, August 2, 2025, around 70 people, including local residents, international students from our university, their families, and alumni, participated in the Bon Odori Festival held at Sensh\u014d-ji Temple in Kurima-cho, Tsu City.<\/p>\n

\u304a\u796d\u308a\u3067\u306f\u6d74\u8863\u3092\u7740\u3066\u76c6\u8e0a\u308a\u3092\u697d\u3057\u307f\u3001\u300c\u70ad\u5751\u7bc0\u300d\u3084\u300c\u6d25\u97f3\u982d\u300d\u3092\u8e0a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u5730\u57df\u306b\u65b9\u3005\u306b\u6e29\u304b\u304f\u8fce\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3001\u697d\u3057\u3044\u6642\u9593\u3092\u5171\u306b\u904e\u3054\u305b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002
At the festival, participants dressed in yukata and enjoyed the Bon Odori dance, dancing to songs like “Tank\u014d Bushi” and “Tsu Ondo.” They were warmly welcomed by the local residents and shared a joyful and memorable time together.Experiencing Japanese culture became a valuable memory for the international students.<\/p>\n

\u6700\u521d\u306f\u76c6\u8e0a\u308a\u306e\u8f2a\u306b\u5165\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u6238\u60d1\u3044\u3092\u898b\u305b\u3066\u3044\u305f\u7559\u5b66\u751f\u3082\u3001\u3044\u3056\u8e0a\u308a\u59cb\u3081\u308b\u3068\u6b21\u7b2c\u306b\u7b11\u9854\u306b\u306a\u308a\u3001\u300c\u3082\u3063\u3068\u8e0a\u308a\u305f\u3044\uff01\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u58f0\u3082\u805e\u304b\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002
At first, the international students felt hesitant to join the Bon Odori circle, but once they started dancing, they gradually smiled, and there were even voices saying, “I want to dance more!”<\/p>\n

Not only did they enjoy the dance, but they also had the opportunity to interact with the local community and experience the spirit of Japanese summer culture firsthand. This was a truly valuable experience for the international students.<\/p>\n

Participation in these community events provides international students with a unique opportunity to understand Japanese culture, while also serving as a valuable chance for local residents to engage in international exchange.
