President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, held a telephone conversation&#13;<br \/>\nwith President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung, on September 4, 2025, to&#13;<br \/>\ndiscuss ways to deepen strategic ties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">President Lee Jae Myung expressed&#13;<br \/>\nappreciation to President Khurelsukh for the congratulatory message on his&#13;<br \/>\nelection and extended warm greetings to mark the 35th anniversary of&#13;<br \/>\nthe establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and South Korea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The two leaders welcomed the consistent&#13;<br \/>\nadvancement of cooperation across social and economic sectors and acknowledged&#13;<br \/>\nthe ongoing development of the Strategic Partnership between their countries. Commitment to economic cooperation&#13;<br \/>\nwas underscored, with both sides recognizing that high-level reciprocal visits as&#13;<br \/>\nvital to deepening trust and strengthening bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p>President Lee Jae Myung reaffirmed&#13;<br \/>\nhis earlier invitation to President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to pay a state visit to South&#13;<br \/>\nKorea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The two sides agreed to accelerate&#13;<br \/>\nthe progress on ongoing projects and continue effective negotiations on the&#13;<br \/>\nMongolia-Korea Economic Partnership Agreement, while exploring cooperation in&#13;<br \/>\nemerging sectors, including rare metals and information technology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The importance of friendship and&#13;<br \/>\ncamaraderie between the people of Mongolia and South Korea was emphasized as a&#13;<br \/>\nkey factor in the rapid expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation.&#13;<br \/>\nLeaders expressed strong support for further strengthening people-to-people exchanges&#13;<br \/>\nand endorsed enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions.<\/p>\n<p>President&#13;<br \/>\nLee Jae Myung accepted President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa&#8217;s request to consider visa-free&#13;<br \/>\ntravel for Mongolian citizens to South Korea, in line with the temporary exemption&#13;<br \/>\ngranted to South Korean visitors to Mongolia, and agreed to maintain close&#13;<br \/>\ncooperation on the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">President Lee acknowledged&#13;<br \/>\nthe meaningful contributions of Mongolian citizens living and working in South&#13;<br \/>\nKorea to the country\u2019s development and progress. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The parties commended the close cooperation&#13;<br \/>\nachieved in international and regional arenas and pledged to enhance collaboration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ulaanbaatar, September 5, 2025&#13; \/MONTSAME\/.
