Ulaanbaatar, August 29, 2025 \/MONTSAME\/. At the
\ninvitation of the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the
\nGovernor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Samantha Mostyn, will pay a
\nstate visit to Mongolia from September 4 to 9, 2025.<\/p>\n
This is the first visit of the Governor-General of the
\nCommonwealth of Australia to Mongolia in 31 years and has significant
\nimportance for expanding and strengthening Mongolia\u2019s relations and cooperation
\nwith Australia, a key partner in the Indo-Pacific region and a third neighbor.<\/p>\n
During the visit, President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and
\nGovernor-General Samantha Mostyn will hold official talks and exchange views on
\na broad range of topics, including enhancing political, trade, investment,
\neducation, and agricultural cooperation, strengthening people-to-people ties,
\nand deepening regional and international collaboration within the commitment to
\nelevate the bilateral relationship to a \u201cComprehensive Partnership\u201d.<\/p>\n
Moreover, Governor-General Samantha Mostyn plans to visit
\nAustralian-supported projects and programs in Mongolia and to meet with local
\nbusiness leaders and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Commonwealth
\nof Australia were established on September 15, 1972. Currently, more than
