It will dock until Aug. 30.<\/p>\n<p>Also, from August 26-30, \u201cVillaggio Italia\u201d will be held to experience Italian traditions and culture.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nVisitors can board the Amerigo Vespucci, and \u201cItalia Geniale\u201d is being held in collaboration with the Ministry in charge of Made in Italy, the Italian Ministry of Defense, and the ADI Design Museum.<\/p>\n<p>TEXT : Osamu NAMBA   PHOTOS : Osamu NAMBA, CarStyling<br \/>&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wacoca.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/IMG_3814-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1516\"\/>PHOTO : Osamu NAMBA  <br \/>Round-the-world route map this time<\/p>\n<p>Amerigo Vespucci arrives at the port<\/p>\n<p>The Amerigo Vespucci departed Genoa, Italy, in July 2023, then headed west across the Atlantic Ocean, around the Americas, and across the Pacific Ocean, calling at Hawaii on the way, and now calling at Tokyo for the first time as its 17th port of call.<\/p>\n<p>Departing on August 30, the vessel will sail to Darwin, Australia via Manila (the port of call in Darwin will be from October 4 to 7). It will then visit 28 countries, including Singapore, Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, before returning to Italy in June 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"727\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wacoca.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/c75e6460a40e1e6186ef2ab44aaef624-1024x727.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1519\"\/>PHOTO : Osamu NAMBA<\/p>\n<p>Amerigo Vespucci is a training sailing ship of the Italian Navy, built in May 1930 at the Castellammare di Stabia Naval Shipyard in Naples, Italy, and she was launched in February 1931 and commissioned in July of the same year. When cadets are on board for training, the rudder is operated by eight people, two on each of the four steering wheels, but normally it is operated by hydraulic assist on the bridge. The position of each rope on each sail is fixed.
