The &#8220;Australia Week&#8221; kicked off on March 17, 2025, with a discussion titled \u201cWomen\u2019s Leadership Program.\u201d\u00a0This year\u2019s Australia Week is being held under the theme of \u201cSustainability and Green Development\u201d to promote and expand cooperation between Mongolia and Australia. In addition to introducing activities in various sectors, there will be cultural performances and\u00a0trade fairs during Australia Week. Numerous events are planned in the education sector, as Australia invests greatly in education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wacoca.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3227d5ef1ab9c6467c1fb5c46dd4e722.png\" class=\"note-float-left\" style=\"width: 278.328px; float: left;\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\">During the discussion on the \u201cWomen\u2019s Leadership Program,\u201d\u00a0Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia Odontuya Saldan\u00a0noted, \u201cIn 2024, the Australian Government implemented a project with funding of AUD 2.5 million to support women\u2019s leadership and strengthen the capacity of Mongolian women to cope with climate change. Women and children are being more affected by natural disasters caused by climate change, such as\u00a0dzud\u00a0and floods. Women will be given special attention in this area. Recent progress in ensuring gender equality is the result of work done in the political, economic, and social spheres. Mongolia considers it important to reflect gender equality in environmental and land management policies and ensure the role of women. During the World Women\u2019s Forum held in August 2024, we took the initiative to establish a \u201cGroup of Women Environmental Leaders\u201d and strive to make women\u2019s leadership a reality.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\">Also, next year, Mongolia will host the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
