元「モーニング娘。」の矢口真里さんが、「ふんどし」普及に最も貢献した著名人に贈られる第4回ベストフンドシストアワードの特別賞を受賞し、12日、東京都内で行われた授賞式に出席。交際中の元モデルの梅田賢三さんとの結婚について「まだ全然考えてない」と明かしつつ、「ウエディングドレスを着るときはふんどしを締めたい」と笑顔で語った。
また、これからの活動について聞かれ「私も締め直していきたい。今は目の前の仕事を全力で頑張って行きたいな。ペースはゆっくりゆっくり、一歩ずつ」と語った。
授賞式には、今回の同アワードを受賞した「情報ライブ ミヤネ屋」（読売テレビ・日本テレビ系）に出演中の日本テレビ報道キャスターの岸田雪子さんやミュージシャンのサンプラザ中野くんらも出席した。
