河野太郎氏は祖父の代から政界進出した河野家に生まれ、外務大臣と防衛大臣を務めた政治家です。

彼が2018年外務大臣在職中に北朝鮮とアメリカの関係について、イギリス放送局BBCから英語でインタビューされる映像です。彼は慶應義塾大学を中退後アメリカに留学し、アメリカジョージタウン大学政治学科を卒業しました。米国学士4-5年を考慮しても、彼の英語は素晴らしいです。インタビュー中全く躊躇なくスラスラと話すのを見ながら、彼がどのように多くの時間を英語の勉強に費やしたか間接的に知ることが出来ました。彼の英語を聞いてみましょう。
