In September of 2023, researchers detected a strange vibration all across the planet. They traced it back to a massive tsunami off the coast of Greenland, but the sound went on even after the wave was gone. As in, for nine full days. This is the story of a bizarre set of circumstances that led to this weird wave, and that researchers can tell about our future based on this event.

"Ackchewully" A wave doesn't lose energy, just momentum. Energy is dispersed, not lost.
"like a tuning fork" that's so cool
6:10 "Which means that ultimately, this planet-wide seismic signal was triggered by climate change" Drill, baby, drill 😒
Better use a different term than climate change or you might get deported.
All 13 year here!
Why do you have Neil deGrasse Tyson’s voice? :p
I wanna make a joke when he said, figuring out the cryptic messages the planet is sending, but this wasn't all that cryptic. The Earth just… (puts on sungalases)… waved. 😂
Nature's version of the TR-808.
So, this is an interesting topic, but I feel this video seriously lacks clarity. No measures in SI units are given, only indications like "stories" and "Niagara falls", and the location isn't disclosed, just "Greenland", the world's largest island.
I get that Americans, on average, are uneducated and scared of the metric system, but especially to an international audience, these measures aren't very useful at all.
For a Science communication channel, I expected better, more so because it feels like you underestimate or even infantilize your audience this way.
Its always climate change.
Ah, yes. 5:50. I wondered when this would become a climate change story. Kept this one at bay a bit longer this time.
Sci show when will we cure blindness caused by retinal vein occlusion
I Love your shirt.
I remember hearing something about this, but that was all. It just ended there.
Been here since day one 😎
1:21 lake near Mt. St. Helens?
Sloshnami
No. This is wrong. It was aliens. They have a secret base in northern Greenland. It's true. I know it is. It was on TikTok. 👽
Climate Change is Natural. The man made climate scam living in the Taxpool sucking up everyone else's money isn't though. The climate scam sloshed back and forward every 87 seconds. Ka Ching, Ka Ching, Ka Ching…. The grant money was flowing as fast as they could buy wine and loose women.
Has anyone visited the location since? I can't imagine what the landscape would look like after nine days of that
ahh Greenland. 51st state
