I keep putting this out wherever I can. We lived in VA Beach during 9/11. Right after that VA put out a warning to call the health dept if we found any dead birds around our neighborhood. They called it "Bird Flu" and my husband got symptoms of swollen neck glands and aches/pains. We took him to the ER and there were others there. The physician told us they had no idea what it is but treat it like the flu. They could not test for anything. Go home, rest, fluids and OTC pain med. It went away. No one died. Also, while living in Cincinnati and working as a Case Management RN, the health dept held an in-service because the govt stated they expected a massive Smallpox outbreak. This is during GW Bush's reign. They said not to worry because they had millions of dose of vaccinations in warehouses. They needed to add some "things" to the existing vaccines to make it more viable. Not too long after that i learned that they decided they would not follow through with the "Smallpox" event because their stats on how the American People would react would lose little Georgie the next election. Just thoughts about what I learned in the past.
This is what ‘cage free’ chickens deal with. Demand pasture raised or free range. Vital farms one of the best. Eat healthy diets and you need not worry about these so called ‘problems’
