A short compilation of the cameos of the main cast in Zombieland Saga Revenge’s episodes 8 and 9. Most of the cameos are in Episode 8 with only one cameo in episode 9. I did not include the policeman’s cameos.
When Ai mentioned in the first season that bodies are cremated in japan, she also wondered how would they were able to preserve her bodies.
Since their bodies were cremated, whoever is behind the zombification process had to use replacement corpses to bring back the souls of these girls to life.
These cameos are actually the replacement corpses they use to bring back the rest of Franchouchou to life.
This is assuming that the zombification process requires a corpse and a soul to work, and that cremation wasn't a thing back in Yugiri's era.
I have feeling (or theory) that Kiichi is the ancestor of Kotaro. VA, Goals and even their personalities are the same, I'll just wait for it to be reveal.
Really it's truly a nice touch and moment that the staff people behind the anime have put the entire group in the two special Yugiri's "origins" episodes, like that, they are all here without being really here. All of them acting and having the same personalities than their descendants. It's enjoyable, I personnally love such (small) details and touch like this 🙂 Of course, It's not truly them, but their respective ancestors. Which brings very intersting lore stuff into the show universe !
For example, it's interesting that Sakura's ancestor lived at Saga, one century ago, since Sakura seem to not be from Saga like Episode 1 Season 1 seem to show that. Which mean that her family leave Saga at one point and never return to it until Sakura was brought to Saga 10 years after her death. Of course, due to being amnesic at the moment, she could perfectly alway been living at Saga all the tie since this era.
As Episode 6 Season 2 revealed it, Tae descend from Noble/High ranked society people who obviousely were an important family back then, during the scene in the graveyard. This is confirmed again in these two episode when we see Tae's ancestor who is clearly a high ranking society woman. Another thing, is that Tae's ancestor seem also, like Tae, to behave normally as a zombie even when alive, like the picture/photo of her briefly seen in the second episode show it, with her ancestor taking a dazed, haggard pose and face.
Tae is confirmed, thank to the official book of the serie, that she completely awake at 100% at the end of season 1, and still continue to behave in strange manners even if it's fully displayed that she's completely aware of the events and surrounding around her, and completely understand what occured around them. Which make her character even more better, because becoming ironic, to live and act already like she is currently even before becoming a zombie. Tae's ancestor was like that too, which the photo of her depict pretty clearly.
What I find pretty haerhwarning and even anthological in some extents, it's especially that the group all met in a way even before to really get to know each other, without knowing it.
Anyone known that Yugiri have in a way meet their ancestors to all of them, and same for Yugiri herself who don't that too as well. Saki and Lily don't known that their respecive ancestors met togethers, with Saki's ancestor helping Lily's ancestor (who btw, for this one was truly a girl by birth) for some reasons. But neither Saki or Lily will even know one day this fact.
What I want to put forward, it's that they were in a way all connected, linked togethers even way before their destinies encountered. It's truly give a feeling, sensation of a more open and big world, but also a restricted and closed one too in the same time.
Episode 8 Season 2 revealed that Yugiri and the Immortal Old Man, now a bartender, found themselves again at one point before episode 7 season 2. Which imply that Yugiri completely know how Kotaro manage to ressurect all them, with what the bartender learn to him. The two acquaintances enjoy their current live and drink in tribute to Kichii and the now gone era where they come from, and from which they are the two last remaining people and remains. Being the two oldest people in the wolrd, who had live in Meiji Era near the end of the 1800's century.
Ancient or medieval scholars didn't bother to write about everyday life of common people because they considered it so obvious it didn't require any explanation, thus building a distorted image of past generations as almost a different species from us – it's easy to forget they were all very much real, living, breathing human beings with exact same hopes and dreams as us.

I have a theory about these cameos.

When the show had no budget for big seiyuu cameos, so theyll just reuse the current seiyuus to save money.
I think they did these cameos to remind you that your still watching zombieland saga and not a rurouni kenshin spinoff lol
When are we going to get season 3!? The last episode ended parodying the white house explosion in Independence Day
Saki's ancestor didn't have red streaks in her hair because there was no hair dye back then
The Descendants of Franchouchou

Saki's ancestor is so freaking wholesome!
0:00; Sakura’s ancestor
0:08; Junko’s ancestor
0:15; Ai’s ancestor
0:22, Tae’s ancestor
0:27; Saki and Lily’s ancestors
0:39; Tae’s another ancestor
So the ending just aliean blowing up for no reason
