Those poor.people whom seen, heard and felt it al, must.have nightmares every night..mabey even awake.. I pray for them, and the victims. My heart bleeds for them! Bless, from Holland
You really feel the terrible power of this tsunami , coming back watching after years , I always think of people that were still in their house when this happened and were swept away you can’t imagine the terror , RIP to all who were lost

さすがに久慈市まで来ると震源から離れているから、気仙沼、石巻、南三陸、陸前高田、女川、大槌のような絶望的な津波は観測されなかったけど、離れていた分、明瞭な津波のウェーブが観察できて、貴重な資料になると思う。（上記挙げた地域はほとんど１０００人前後の死者不明、久慈は５人）

太平洋の広範囲で地震があって、海面が湾内でさらに高い津波になったんだ。
助かった人らは、山あたりに住んでいたか、たまたまそこにいたのか。
運良かったのか、運が悪いのか、これからの人生考えたらね。
なんともいいよがないな。
毎年地震、台風、集中豪雨、土石流だと災害ばかりじゃん。
毎年戦争してる、戦費調達に奔走している感じ。

I was hugely relieved to see that both of those fishing vessels survived their horrific ordeals with the tsunami.
By taking their vessels from their moorings they did everything to ensure their survival and income.
This was a lovely coastal community and it was hit hard that day, the sea came and just kept on coming, as if it would never stop!
