Hope you enjoy guys what an episode today seeing Tohru and Akito talk with each other and I loved seeing Tohru understand who Akito really is and I hope we get to see the 2 together in the next few episodes as just like what Tohru does for the Zodiac members I imagine she can soothe Akito as well but damn was that a dramatic episode! Really got me there as I did come into the episode not fully expecting Tohru to live as I thought she may die at the hands of Akito but this was completely off what I was expecting and again takes us back to the start of the series as we finally see the kiss we’ve been waiting for! amazing episode maybe my favourite of all but let me know what you thought about this episode in the comment section!

Really got me there as I did come into the episode not fully expecting Tohru to live as I thought she may die at the hands of Akito but this was completely off what I was expecting and again takes us back to the start of the series as we finally see the kiss we've been waiting for! amazing episode maybe my favourite of all but let me know what you thought about this episode below!
This episode is probably my favorite of the series. And there are a lot of parallels to season 1 episode 1. First, we see Tohru's destroyed tent at the base of the cliff, it was mentioned that rock slides are common. And also, the shots of Akito running through the woods are the same as Tohru running through those same woods in the very first scene of the series.
I loved this episode too! Akito realized her wrongdoings and it hit her like a truck, all it took was a sincere and real approach – she never received that. I think she knew from the very start but she was too broken to face it. Also, I like the fact that her realization doesn't excuse her actions and doesn't mean she will be forgiven by everyone (it will be shown more). Last but not least, Kyo and Tohru seem to have to make amends.
Fun fact: Shigure warned us about the cliff crumbling (I believe because of the rain) in the first episodes during the whole tent situation 😛
In the manga it wasn't raining. The animator added that in for dramatic effect. It doesn't matter too much to me. Although, it does matter because of how rain affects Kyo. In truth if it had been raining Kyo wouldn't have been going out, and Tohru wouldn't have confronted him.
Oh yeah I love this! There's a lot to be settled still, but this I think is the climax.
I personally really prefer it when the villain gains understanding rather than just gets pummeled to nothing. Akito isn't redeemed yet, but this is the first and most important step – to realize they were wrong, and to care about the people they hurt. If the villains in my life ever got this far, I wouldn't even need anything else.

Akito admiting to stabbing Kureno was BIG.
Not only because it's her finally stopping blaming others but also owning up to her mistakes.
Ah the whole parallels between Tohru and Akito laid beautifully here, how similar they are and how they understand each other's pain more than anyone.
Funny trivia time but apparently the author considered making Akito male and endgame with Tohru, but then it was changed for Akito being female and Kyo ending up with her.
Honestly a change for the best.
Because I feel like Akito needed more a genuine friend than anything and Tohru's motherly love would help her as much as it helped Yuki considering how "starved" she was in this aspect.
Oh, this was a pleasant surprise! Wasn't expecting this until Monday, and haven't been on YT much this weekend to know you were posting today. 😀 Thank you! Made my crummy weekend better!
This episode is hands down my favorite. It's also the most important, in my opinion, because it changes everything. Tohru was able to finally observe Akito in the way that Akito needed, and she realized how similar they are. They were direct mirrors of each other. Even with all of my problems with Akito and the things she's done, I love the moments of her and Tohru. There's something so beautiful in this sweet, broken girl getting through to an equally broken woman. To ending the cycle of abuse, and not continuing it.
I cried watching your reaction to Kyo and Tohru's scene at the cliff, just as much as I did the first time. I read the manga just a bit before this episode came out, so when I saw it was going to be animated, I can't explain how excited I was. I wanted that moment, of Tohru's thoughts and feelings, Kyo's despair, and the kiss, to be done justice, and it was. Thank goodness that Tohru was okay, and Kureno too. I also totally get what you mean about what this is going to do to Kyo being one of the most heartbreaking (if not the most) about this, because he internalizes shit like this. Luckily, Tohru wasn't another person that he loved that ended up dying in an accident, that he couldn't save. She's okay. And now… they have to progress from here. My babies, I love them. <3
What's funny is the callback to episode 1 when Shigure was talking about the cliffs being unstable – and yes, this is where Tohru had her tent, we can see it on the ground. Such incredible parallels.
Awesome reaction again! I'm sad that you're almost done, but I'm also excited to see your reactions to the ending.
