I always thought tsunamis were giant waves but they mostly come in the form of rushing waters as if God reached down and lifted a dam out of the water.
It truly was the end of the world that day for many people! RIP!

We all like to kid our selves about an approaching doom, then it becomes to over whelming to joke about.

The announcements only warned of a 3 meter wave, not a 40 meter wave, so i guess thats why there was so many joking and laughing about the whole event, as the defence walls where 8 to 10 meters tall.

I've watched multiple clips over the years & I feel it in every clip. This is from the bottom of the valley for a change. Seeing the others all I saw was a wall coming towards. This is from the beginning.. it's just crazy in every single clip.

Imagine watching this happen to your city. How does the brain even take it in?
Such a pity they waving cam around like a flag. Cant see anything and then they lose all context with different zoom at the end so couldn't see how much water had risen.
Those souls on those boats are probably already dead…they just don't know it yet. One never really thinks of fire in floods or something like this, but it sure is another horrible thing to deal with.
