アンフィールドでの日本人対決が実現したこの試合で、南野拓実選手は途中出場ながら、交代直後に得点。
本拠地アンフィールドでの初ゴールとなった。
2人の日本人選手が同じピッチに立ち、しかもプレミアリーグで一緒に戦っていると思うとすごい事をやっているんだなと感じた。
日本人であることを誇りに思うし、メモリアルな試合を見ることができて本当に良かった。
