[１６日 ロイター] – フランスの製薬会社サノフィ(SASY.PA), opens new tabは１６日、インド南部のハイデラバードで財務から研究開発に至る幅広い業務を取り扱うグローバル・ケーパビリティー・センター（ＧＣＣ）を拡張し、従業員を現在の２６００人超から４５００人超に増やすと発表した。
拡張に対する投資は「数億ドル」規模としたが、正確な金額や具体的な採用時期は明らかにしなかった。
サノフィは一昨年、２０３０年までにインドのＧＣＣに４億ユーロ（４億７４６０万ドル）を投資すると発表していた。
多国籍企業は相次ぎインドにＧＣＣを開設。ＧＣＣは、低コストのバックオフィスから、業務、財務、研究開発を支援する高付加価値のイノベーション拠点に進化している。
不動産コンサルタント会社アナロックによれば、インドには１７００以上のＧＣＣがあり、１９０万人以上の専門家が雇用されている。
