［３１日 ロイター］ – トランプ米大統領の側近らは３１日、ウクライナのゼレンスキー大統領のほか、英仏独の国家安全保障担当者と電話会談を行い、ロシア・ウクライナ戦争の終結に向けた次のステップについて協議した。米政権のウィットコフ中東担当特使が明らかにした。
電話協議にはルビオ米国務長官とトランプ大統領の娘婿ジャレッド・クシュナー氏のほか、ウクライナの和平交渉を率いるウメロフ国家安全保障・国防会議書記も参加した。
ウィットコフ氏は「安全の保証の強化のほか、戦争終結と再発防止に向けた効果的な衝突回避メカニズムの構築など、トランプ大統領の和平プロセスを踏まえ、実際的な方法で協議を前進させる方法に焦点を当てた」と述べた。
ウメロフ氏は、電話協議でそれぞれの立場が調整されたとし、年明け以降も戦争終結に向けた具体的な成果を探るための作業が継続されると言及。
ウクライナと欧米は１月に再度協議を行うと語った。
ゼレンスキー大統領によると、ウクライナを支援する「有志連合」の国家安全保障顧問が１月３日にウクライナで会合を開く。
