[サンパウロ ２０日 ロイター] – ブラジルのルラ大統領は２０日、隣国ベネズエラに対し米国が圧力を強化する中、「ベネズエラへの武力介入は人道的大惨事となる」と警告した。

ルラ大統領はブラジルで２０日に開催された南部共同市場（メルコスル）首脳会議で、米国の介入は「世界にとって危険な前例」になるとし、「南米大陸は再び、地域外の大国の軍事的存在に悩まされている」と語った。

メルコスル首脳会議後の共同声明で、南米諸国の指導者らは平和的手段を通じてベネズエラの民主主義の原則と人権を守ることを再確認した。
