[ニューデリー １７日 ロイター] – インド商工省が１７日発表した１０月の貿易収支は、赤字が過去最高の４１６億８０００万ドルに拡大した。１０月は、米国によるインド製品への高関税導入から２カ月目となる。金の輸入増加と米国向け輸出の減少が赤字を押し上げた。

ロイターがまとめたエコノミスト予想は２８８億ドルの赤字、９月の赤字額は１３カ月ぶり高水準の３２１億５０００万ドルだった。

トランプ米政権は８月末、インドからの輸入品に最大５０％の高関税を発動。両国は交渉を継続している。

商工省によると、１０月の対米輸出は６３億１０００万ドルとなった。繊維、エビ、宝石・宝飾品などに輸入関税が課されたことで、前年同月比約９％減少したが、９月の５４億７０００万ドルからは増加した。

１０月のモノの輸出は全体で３４３億８０００万ドルで、９月の３６３億８０００万ドルから減少した。一方、輸入は７６０億６０００万ドルで、同６８５億３０００万ドルから増加した。

米国との貿易交渉でインド側の首席交渉官を務めるラジェシュ・アガルワル氏は「協議は進行中で、われわれはなお、相互関税に関する合意が必要な部分で合意が実現するよう期待している。具体的な時期は未定だが、実現の可能性はある」と述べた。
